Documents list his name spelled as either
Lawrinson, Lawrenson or Laurenson.
There is a marriage certificate for Edward Laurinson,
Bachelor, Chair maker, son of John Laurinson, Collier,
and Ellen Whittle, minor, dau. of James Whittle, laborer
July 31, 1843, St. Michaela's Church, Liverpool.
Both resided at Banastic (?) St., Liverpool.
I am not certain this is the same Edward -- the
wife's name and his occupation are not right --
and I will need to look further. I suppose it could
be a first marriage, or perhaps we have the wrong name for
his wife.1851 census (Wigan, Parish of St. George, 96 Whelley St.)
shows him as 28 yrs old, coal miner, wife Ann (26),
children Elizabeth (3) and William (10 months).
Next door are two families of Winstanleys, including a
Leigh Winstanley, age 4. When daughter Elizabeth was married,
her marriage certificate was witnessed by a Lee Winstanley.

lists Edward Lawrenson, Collier, as her father.
James' death certificate, dated June 12, 1880,
lists as informant Edward Laurenson, father-in-law,
residing at 34 Lorne Street, Wigan. After James died,
Elizabeth and her childred returned to live with

Death certificate for Edward Lawrenson, died Dec 8, 1894, age 69 at Wigan (vol-8c, page 91) says he was a Coal Miner and a Beer
Seller. He died at the Black Horse Inn, New Town, Pemberton,
of "Haemuraturia, Retention of Urine, and Exhaustion".
Informat at his death was daughter Elizabeth Livingstone.

farmer Lancelot Lawrenson, Jan. 2, 1897, age 68. This
cannot be the same Ann.Maiden name is from Margaret Lees, cousin, descendent.
