Served as Ensign and Sgt. in Revolutionary war in his father's company.
His commission to captain was signed by Samuel Adams and is in the
Androscoggin Historical Society archives
Elmer G. Bridgham: "As far as I know he was a farmer and miller.
He died in Minot, July 31, 1840. I know almost nothing about him.
Uncle Henry told me he had a violent temper."
It is not clear that her father John was the same John Shaw who married Elizabeth Lucas. They are listed in rootsweb as parents of Molly & John Jr., not of Sibilla. Joan Bridgham Gray indicates her line goes back to Mayflower Pilgrims Richard Warren, the Brewsters, and Stephen and Constance Hopkins.

Maine Families in 1790 says he is a son of Capt. John Bridgham and Joanna Comer, but I have correspondence 4/21/12 from Amy Dacyczyn indicating that was an error, that he more likely was the son of John & Joanna's son William.
Married in Leeds, 1814.
1800 census, Sumner, Cumberland, ME: 1 boy and one girl, age 0-10, wife age 26-45. Lives near brother John Bridgham.Amy Dacyczyn believes Aurelia & Thomas had five children who died relatively young, and many of them were deaf and dumb, possibly due to contracting scarlett fever as children. There are records of some Bridghams living on the county poor farm which may be Thomas's children.
There is a picture of his tombstone here:

Leeds marriage records1800: Lives near brother-in-law John Bridgham.
Amy Dacyczyn (private correspondence, 4/21/12) says that Aurelia is from a prominent family that included the Howard who founded Howard University.
