Notes


Alvin H. Theiss

Born February 19, 1905, on the family farm near Fort Dodge and attended
St. Paul parochial school.  He worked on the family farm and married Alta
Christopher there in 1941.  They made their home on a farm near Duncombe.  He
served in the army during World War II.  Following the war he returned to the
Duncombe area where he farmed until retiring in 1970.  He moved to the Villa
Park Care Center in April, 1987.  Died July 16, 1987, in Fort Dodge.  Buried
in St. Paul cemetery.


Elmer Frederick Theiss

Born January 27, 1914, at the family home outside Fort Dodge, Iowa.  In
1944 he was in the army as a Sergeant at Camp Cook, California.  He was a
salesman of veterinary medical products.  Died August 10, 1993.

Robert's wife, and got the information listed here about her family.


Wilmer R. Theiss

Address: R.F.D. 3, Fort Dodge, Iowa 50501.

He was a farmer, and raised registered Brown Swiss dairy cattle.  He sold
milk, and sold the cattle to other dairy farmers.

He died April 4, 1996, in the nursing home in Fort Dodge.


Robert Victor Theiss

After graduating from high school Robert worked for a short time at the Fort
Dodge National Bank, and then entered the U.S. Army during World War II.
After his discharge, he worked for International Harvester Company for 7 1/2
years, then for Nebraska Bridge and Supply Company as manager for 10 years.
In 1966, he joined Mead Containers where he was employed in the sales and
service department.  In 1966 he was appointed to the board of the Lutheran
Hospital (later the Bethesda Hospital), and soon became Secretary of the
Board.  Long active in Good Shepherd Church, he has been on the district
board of Lutheran Laymen's League a number of years, and has served as zone
president of the league, which consists of 13 congreagtions.  He is moderator
of the adult Bible class, which has a regular attendance of 80 to 100.

Died March 6, 2002.  Services were at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in
Fort Dodge, Iowa, March 9, 2002, at 10:30 am.  Rev. Lyle Hansen was the
clergy.  Internment was in the North Lawn Cemetry (Fort Dodge) with grave
side Military Honors by V.F.W. Post 1856.

Thomas Cody Theiss

The organs Cody donated at death were used to help 68 people.
