Erminnia Jane Grayson, born in 1859 in Sand Creek, was known to the family as "Minnie" and as "Mary" Grayson. On Feb 05 1880,she married John Scott "Scotty" Ford, son of Lewis Ford whose place was on Sand Creek in Decatur County.

The couple moved to Abilene, Kansas about 1881. He was a school teacher and later Methodist Minister. The couple had one daughter, Alice.

Minnie contracted TB, we believe, so the family traveled back to Indiana because her health was failing so badly.

Two years after Alice's birth, Minnie died in 1884, at age 24. She is buried as "Minnie J. Ford" in Indiana.

John Scott Ford then married a lady named Swigart and they are my Great Grandparents.
