An obituary for Claus -- C. G. Lind, 90, Dies At Home in Boone C. G. Lind, 90, died at his home, 1728 Crawford street Monday evening following a year's illness. He had been bedfast for the past nine months. Born in Sweden June 11, 1864, Mr. Lind came to this country when a young man. For 16 years he served as superintendent of the Lutheran Orphan's home at Stanton, Iowa, and then served two years in a similar capacity at an orphan's home at Vasa, Minn. He farmed for most of his life in the Dayton vicinity and moved to Boone upon his retirement. He later served as a cabinet maker in Boone. Survivors include his wife, a daughter Mrs. Esther Anderson of Fort Dodge, a son G. T. (Ted) Lind of Boone, three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the Augustana Lutheran church with the Rev. E. K. Nelson in charge. Burial will be in the Dayton cemetery. Friends may call this evening at the Welin chapel.
